Terramycin Super Intra-Uterine Oblet (Pessaries)
Description and Composition
Terramycin Super Intra-Uterine Oblet (pessary) contains 2gms of oxytetracycline hydrochloride, highly effective against all types of organisms associated with post-delivery uterine infections.
Indications for use
For the treatment of bacterial infections after difficult birth and/ or retained placenta in cows, sows, ewes and doe.
Advantages
Post delivery disorders in livestock like retained after-birth and different forms of endometritis (infections of the uterus) occur in 20- 40% of dairy cows and sometimes even more frequently, causing huge economic losses in terms of reduced milk yield, longer calving intervals, increased culling rate and cost extra services and treatment.
- Each Terramycin Super Intra-Uterine Oblet (pessary) is hygienically packed in a rigid aluminum tube with polyethylene cap with silica gel, and contains 2g of Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride, highly effective against all types of organisms associated with post-delivery uterine infections.
- Terramycin Super Intra-Uterine Oblet (pessary) has an effervescent (foaming) action which is an aid to:
- Distribute the Terramycin throughout the uterine cavities.
- Aid healing by a mechanical cleaning of the uterine wall.
- NOTE: The foaming action of Terramycin Super Intra-Uterine Oblet (pessary) depends upon the presence of moisture. In presence of 20ml of fluid 2 litres of Terramycin foam is produced.
