Description and Composition

Valbazen 10% drenchValbazen 10% drench is a total spectrum dewormer for cattle, sheep and goats.

Valbazen 10% drench is a concentrated formulation of 10% albendazole for cattle

Benefits

Albendazole the active compound in Valbazen 10% drench, kills all the important endoparasites; Round worms, Lung worms, Tapeworms, Liver flukes.

Albendazole is a modern benzimidazole with an exceptional efficacy against Haemonchus especially in sheep and cattle and other roundworms.

  • It has also equally excellent control against Trichostronglylus, Ostertagia, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Bunostomum, Strongyloides, Capillaria, Oesophagostomum and Chabertia species. That is why a clear positive effect on the live weight gain of treated animals (both sheep and cattle) becomes manifest already one to two months after drenching.
  • It eradicates tapeworm in cattle, sheep and goat: It kills not only the tapeworm segments and eggs, but also the tapeworm heads, thus cleaning the animal completely. Efficacy at the recommended doses is 100%.
  • It eradicates fluke eggs: At the recommended fluke dose, it controls close to 100% of both Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica adults. It also kills fluke eggs before they pass out with the faeces.
  • At regular intervals, it prevents losses through chronic fasciolosis and helps cleaning up your pastures by killing the eggs as well.
  • It is extremely effective in reducing the number of viable worm and fluke eggs reaching the pasture. No other drench can eliminate the threat of both worm and fluke eggs. This makes Valbazen 10% drench the product of choice if you want to gradually reduce pasture infestation for all worm types to minimum levels.
    • NOTE: For the control of acute outbreaks of fascioliasis in sheep and cattle, a specific flukicide namely FASINEX which kills young immatures should be used.
  • It eradicates lung worms (Dictyocaulus) in cattle and sheep at the recommended roundworm dosage. Lung worms cause chronic bronchopneumonia with arrest of growth in youngsters and production loss in adults. It also controls gastrointestinal worms.
  • It is easy to handle. There is no loss through dribbling, and less stress in your animals. In case you have only a few animals, Valbazen can be administered with simple disposable syringe (20cc) thanks to its small dose volume. A free 20cc syringe is included in the 120ml and 180ml pack.
  • It is one of the safest dewormers you can use. Albendazole is used widely in human medicine. In sheep and cattle 5 times the fluke dose has been used with no adverse effects. Care should however be taken not to exceed the recommended dosage rate during the first month of pregnancy in ewes, doe and cattle.
  • No special storage or handling requirements are needed. Valbazen 10% drench is compatible with other farm practices like dipping, de-horning, vaccination, etc.

in cattle 2.5 – 7.5 mg/kg for controlling roundworms, lungworms, tapeworms
  2. The flukes dose
