Neocidol 600EWNeocidol 600EW is a special emulsion in water. It is a residual contact organophosphate insecticide for the control of cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, bedbugs, fleas and other domestic pests.

Neocidol 600EW contains diazinon an organophosphate that inhibits cholinesterase.

Technical Information

Direction For Use
Fly and Mosquito control inside building:
Mix 28mls Neocidol 600EW with 1.5 litres water. Apply as a spray to walls, ceiling and beams of animal sheds, verandas and buildings where flies and mosquitoes are a nuisance. Spray also areas outside where flies congregate and around drains manure heap etc. 10litres of spray will cover approximately 100 square metre (1 gallon per 500 square feet)

Cockroaches:
Mix 28mls Neocidol 600EW in 2 litres of water. Apply to hiding places and sites infested. e.g. along walls under sinks, around dustbins, refrigerator, stores and behind cupboards. Repeat application at intervals of 1 – 2 months to prevent re-infestation.

Fly maggot control:,
Use 28mls Neocidol 600EW in 2 litres of water. Apply as a coarse even spray mixture per 10 sq metres of building area (manure, compost heaps, rubbish pits) with particular attention to the edge.

Bedbugs, Lice, Fleas in Building and Ants:
Mix 28ml of Neocidol 600EW with 2 litres of water. For ants 100gms or more of sugar may be added to the mixture. Spray bed spreads, particularly into the stands and frame joints, springs, webbing and strapping underside mattresses, walls and ceilings, applying particular attention to holes, all cracks and crevices, the back of upholstered chairs. Outside ant-nests should also be sprayed. Repeat treatment as necessary.

Treatment in animal houses:
Dilute 28mls Neocidol 600EW in 700mls of water to cover 15 sq meters.

Use Limitations
Once diluted, Neocidol 600EW must be used the same day. do not spray on freshly limed, or white washed walls. Allow 21 days before spraying.

Hazards and Precautions

  • Keep Neocidol 600EW out of reach of children or unauthorized persons.
  • Do not spray surfaces or utensils which will come into contact with food.
  • Remove uncovered food stuffs before spraying.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke during spraying.
  • Avoid inhalation of spray mist.
  • When spraying cover nose and mouth with clean mask cloth.
  • If splashes occur on skin, wash thoroughly.
  • Remove poultry, caged birds and cats before treating rooms.
  • Diazinon is toxic to bees and fish.
  • Storage
    Store Neocidol 600EW in a well ventilated area protected from sun and rain, avoiding temperatures below 10ºC and above 35ºC. Once opened, the contents must be within 3 months.

    Disposal

  • Triple rinse empty containers. Do not re-use them for any other purposes.
  • Burn or bury empty containers away from water bodies
  • Do not discharge waste liquid into ponds, streams and sewage systems.
  • Discharge into land that will not be used during the following 3 weeks.
  • Toxicological Information

    Neocidol 600EW contains diazinon a cholinesterase inhibitor. It can be absorbed by the body through the mucous membranes (mouth, eyes, nose) and to a minimal extent through the skin. Once absorbed in sufficient quantities by the body it may interfere with the normal functions of the nervous system and produce typical cholinergic symptoms.

    Symptoms of poisoning:
    Nausea, diarrhoea, dripping mouth and nose, excessive salivation, stomach cramps, excessive sweating, lack of muscle coordination, extreme weakness, difficulty in breathing, cough, rapid pulse and flushed skin.

    Antidote
    Atopine sulphate in addition to Oxime preparations such as PAM or TOXOGONIN under medical supervision. In case of oral ingestion 10gm activated charcoal dust in 150 – 200ml of water may be administered.

    Neocidol 600EW is available in 5Lt jerry can, 1Lt bottle (sheep dip),and 28ml bottle packs.
