FAQ's

1. Should an animal take water after being dewormed?

There is no conflict in giving water after deworming with Valbazen, Multidose and Fasinex which can be used at any time.

2. When is the best time of the day for deworming?

Deworming using Valbazen, Fasinex and Multidose can be done at any convenient time of the day.

3. After how long should deworming be repeated?

The frequency of deworming will largely depend on the age of the animal and degree of worm challenge among other factors. Young animals should be dewormed preferably after every one month while adult animals should preferably be dewormed after every three months but depending on worm challenge. The higher the worm challenge e.g where there is competition for scarce pasture, the more regular deworming should be done.

4. What should be done to improve growth in cattle?

Selection for fast growing breeds should be considered first. Proper feeding and supplementation, disease control and worm control will ensure that desired growth rates are achieved.

5. What happens if a cat eats a Lanirat baited rat?

Cats seldom eat dead or sick rats! However, a cat will not die after eating a Lanirat baited rat as the lethal dose that kills a rat is lower than the dose that would kill a cat.
